Giants of Douai Festival (Festival of the Giant) TBA Effigies of characters from folklore and legends are carried through the streets and celebrated during this raucous festival, celebrated since the Middle Ages. The likenesses are enormous, some reaching over 20 feet tall. A popular group is the Gayant family, which reunites every year.
